Matthias Mayer: Fit, Motivated, and Ready for the Ski World Championships in Saalbach

The excitement for the upcoming FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 is building – especially for Matthias Mayer. The three-time Olympic champion is taking on a key role as the official World Ski Championships ambassador and will be a prominent figure both on and off the slopes.

The 34-year-old Austrian plans to take part as a forerunner in the speed events on the legendary Zwölferkogel. "The World Championships will definitely be a spectacle, and I’m especially looking forward to it", Mayer says with enthusiasm.

For this exceptional athlete, Saalbach is a place filled with positive memories. In FEB 2025, he claimed victory here in both the Downhill and the Super-G.
